The Parents and Caregivers Employee Resource Group (ERG) is a community within our organization dedicated to supporting employees who navigate the rewarding, yet challenging, roles of parenting and caregiving every day. Recognizing the significant impact of caregiving responsibilities on work-life balance, this ERG offers a supportive network, resources, and tools tailored for today's diverse families. For Branch Administrator Victoria Poole, joining the ERG has been enlightening. “Whether dealing with new parenthood, caring for an aging relative, or something in between, my involvement has enabled me to meet and forge relationships with colleagues I might not have otherwise. This has fostered a feeling of belonging and connection within the company and among fellow employees.” From navigating parental leave and flexible working arrangements to accessing childcare resources and eldercare support, this ERG aims to empower its members with practical solutions to everyday challenges. #DiversityMonth #DEI #Parents #Caregivers #AmplifyVoices #OneAtlasHeart

The I-405, Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project in Washington State is set to transform transportation by introducing a dual express toll lane system for faster commutes during peak hours, expanding highway capacity, and constructing direct access ramps for smoother transitions. Alongside these enhancements, the initiative will upgrade interchanges for better traffic flow, build stations for the Stride bus rapid transit for efficient public transportation, and create related facilities like parking and pedestrian pathways. Environmental considerations are also a priority, with new fish passage culverts ensuring ecosystem continuity. This ambitious project promises to ease congestion, improve travel efficiency, and support sustainable transit solutions. Atlas Seattle manages a full scope of quality and environmental services on the project which has a targeted completion date of 2028. 📸 Katrina Garner, Environmental Scientist

The Military Veterans Employee Resource Group (ERG) is open to all Atlas employees with military service backgrounds as well as those who are allies of our veterans. The group offers support and understanding of the unique challenges veterans face when transitioning to civilian life. Members also have the opportunity to share, network — and pass time within a community of like-minded individuals. The ERG’s hallmark project is the company’s annual Toys for Tots drive where over one thousand toys are collected each year. Members meet bi-monthly and regularly host insightful guest speakers. They’re also very committed to assembling care packages for deployed service members and holding book giveaways. Echoing the words of Jesse White, PLS, Military Veterans ERG member and our Oregon Survey Manager: “Work isn’t solely about punching into a timeclock and starting your tasks — it’s also about working as a team!” #DiversityMonth #DEI #AmplifyVoices #MilitaryVeterans #OneAtlasHeart

In today’s climate, the corporate world can pose unique challenges for early-career professionals. Between time management, skill acquisition, and navigating office dynamics, younger generations must balance multiple demands to thrive in their roles. Although advancement can be challenging, those who demonstrate determination, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement are better positioned to seize opportunities for growth and success. That’s why Project Manager Lily Slaughter makes it to every Young Professionals ERG meeting she can. “The [Young Professionals] ERG has given me the space and opportunity for me to ask career growth questions that I may not have the time or space to ask in my day to day.” #DiversityMonth #DEI #AmplifyVoices #OneAtlasHeart
