You are invited to the VEX IQ Robotics Georgia Elementary State Championship presented by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation. Come and see the top thirty- six elementary teams from around the state battle for one of seven qualifying spots to the Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas later this spring. At the competition, students will be demonstrating their building, programming, driving and collaborative skills in an effort to win the coveted Excellence Award, the highest award given at a VEX IQ robotics competition.

This year the State Championship is being hosted by Otwell Middle School with help from local high school robotics teams making the event a true community experience. If you have a few minutes to stop by you will be impressed by the skill level of these young engineers.

Agenda for the day

8:30 to 9:45 - Individual Team Skills - Teams will be trying to score as many points as possible while using their driving abilities and their autonomous coding skills

9:45 to 10:15 - Opening Ceremonies

10:15 to 12:00 - Teamwork Challenge Matches - Teams are randomly partnered with other teams at the competition and they must work collaboratively to score as many points as possible in 60 seconds

12:00 to 12:40 - Lunch Break

12:45-3:15 - Teamwork Challenge Matches and Finals

3:15 to 4:00 - Awards
