Meet the panelist...

Dr. Bryson Payne is a TEDx speaker, best-selling author, and the founding Director of the Center for Cyber Operations Education at the University of North Georgia, an NSA Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. He is a tenured professor of computer science at UNG, where he has taught aspiring coders and cyber professionals since 1998.

He has written over $45 Million in successful federal and state grants for technology, workforce development, and cybersecurity, and he has trained over 40,000 students through his online courses on coding and ethical hacking. Featured in CIO magazine, Campus Technology, and the Wall Street Journal, Dr. Payne is the author of Teach Your Kids to Code: A Parent-Friendly Guide to Python Programming (2015, No Starch Press), Learn Java the Easy Way (2017, No Starch Press), and Hacking for Kids (2020, No Starch Press).

Steven Herring is a 2017 graduate of the University of North Georgia with a BBA in Information Systems with a minor in Cybersecurity. He then went back to UNG for the Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity in 2018. Since then, he has worked at Leapfrog IT Services as both a Support Analyst and an Information Security Analyst. After Leapfrog, he worked at Secureworks as a Security Analyst and currently he is an Information Security Cyber Analyst in charge of Vulnerability Management at Randstad USA. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Information Technology at Investors Accounting LLC. While only being out of college for 5 years, Steven has continued speak to Cyber Security students at his alma mater about his experiences in the field.

Grady Johnston is an accomplished CTO, and a cybersecurity executive with deep expertise in AI-driven technologies.

Throughout his career, he played pivotal roles in building business at companies at the forefront of their industries, including Aireagoir, CDW, Art Technology Group, SevenSpace, Tiburón Enterprises, Insight Direct, and Passlogix.

Recognized for his achievements in customer success and channel development around the globe, Grady was selected as a CRN Magazine Channel Chief in 2015. He is a frequent speaker at industry panels, technology events and university boards on global trends spanning security, AI, big data and IoT.

Grady holds an MBA from Harvard and a BA in international relations from the University of Massachusetts and serves on multiple cybersecurity advisory boards in higher education, State, and Federal Governments.

Ken Foster is currently VP of IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Fleetcor with more than 20 years of experience in the field focusing on platform architecture and security. Ken previously held the positions as Head of Global Cyber Risk Governance and Government Security Services at Fiserv, CISO at MacStadium and Rollins. In the past 20+ years of his career, Ken has held essential positions at several companies in the Atlanta area as well as for the US government including be forward deployed in Afghanistan with the US intelligence community. Ken is a proud veteran of the United States Navy and has been an active member of his local security community.
