Make a Difference in the Life of a Gwinnett Child – June 1 at 6pm 6/1/2017 6:00 PM - 6/1/2017

On any given day in Gwinnett County, there are more than 450 children in foster care. These are children who are already in our communities, and they are victims of their circumstances. There are less than 50 foster homes to care for these children, and our community is in great need of compassionate, committed, and caring people. Do you have a place in your heart and home to provide care for these children? Presented by Gwinnett County Public Library, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Human Services, this Foster Parent Information Session is free and will take place on Thursday, June 1 at 6:00 pm at our Lilburn Branch, 4817 Church Street, Lilburn, GA 30047. Premier Rental-Purchase Hosts Community Day

Premier Rental-Purchase, Cumming's hometown home furnishings store, is hosting their first Community Day Saturday, June 24th.

Community Days was created to help generate awareness and raise donations for local charities and support local small businesses. Food, beverages, games and entertainment will be available. Premier is donating 10% of their sales from Saturday to the participating charities. In addition, they are offering 10% off retail sales and donating that 10% to a charity of the customer's choice.

Douglas Belt, Premier owner invites the community to come together at this event. "We are having a Community Day where we have invited local charities out to help raise awareness and donations for their respective causes. We are teaming these organizations with events to help their cause raise money during this time...as an example we are having a bounce house which is free to everyone to participate in, we will team a charity with the bouncy house to manage the bouncy house, as well as accept donations for using the bouncy house," commented Belt.
