– Forsyth County Senior Services is hosting their 15th annual Forsyth Senior Expo on Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College, located at 3410 Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

The Forsyth Senior Expo includes free admission for attendees and is a popular event for seniors, their families, friends and caregivers. The event hosts vendors from home care, senior living, legal services and more. Attendees also have access to free health screenings, refreshments and multiple opportunities to win door prizes.

JOIN US for the 8th annual Boulder Dash 5K/10K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 29th! The Boulder Dash is a unique opportunity for you to meander through an environmentally responsible, operational hard rock quarry. This is a race you don't want to miss! See the working quarry face, the ancient rock deposits, the massive equipment that processes it, and the natural surroundings as you take the challenge, and the Bluegrass Spring Fling awaiting you at the Finish Line!

DIRECTIONS:

Take GA 400 North to GA 20 (exit 14). Turn right on GA 20, then take a right on Ronald Reagan Blvd. At the second traffic light, make a right onto Northside Blvd. Volunteers will direct you to the Women's Center Parking Lot (Yellow Lot) or to the MOB Parking Lot (Blue Lot). Buses will run on a continuous loop to transport you and all non-runners to and from each venue.

PARKING:

All parking is at the Northside Hospital. Busses will be used to transport participants from the finish area back to the parking lots.

SPRING FLING starts at 10:30 a.m.

A Secure Way for the Community to Recycle Sensitive Information

CUMMING, GA (April 27, 2017)—Georgia United Credit Union, in partnership with Iron Mountain, will host a free community Shred Day event this Saturday, April 29 from 9 am – 12 pm at its Cumming location. This event is open to Georgia United members and the local community as an opportunity to safely destroy sensitive, personal documents in an environmentally friendly way. The branch is located at 312 Canton Hwy Cumming, GA.

Guests are invited to bring up to three boxes of personal documents such as old checks, forms and statements with personal information. Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed. Iron Mountain will safely dispose of the documents in a mobile destruction truck that will be parked in the branch parking lot. Documents will be immediately shredded on-site and recycled.
