Event Description: If you are the parent or caregiver of a child who is approaching 18 years old and living with an intellectual/developmental disability, this is the perfect time to explore resources that promote greater independence. This workshop will provide you with hands on instruction for family support services, DD/ID services, Social Security benefits, Medicaid waivers, transition planning, and more. Join Gwinnett County Public Library, in partnership with All About Developmental Disabilities, for this free benefits workshop on Tuesday, September 19 at our Collins Hill Branch, 455 Camp Perrin Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. Two sessions are available. Session one takes place from 10:30am – noon and session two takes place from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.
